Lenten Study Series

The B-I-B-L-E (yes, that's the book for me)

Join us for five Sundays in Lent as we explore the Bible: its history, origins, and content. We will look at how it came to be in its present form, and the different ways it has been interpreted and used throughout the centuries, all the while discussing the importance and usefulness of the Bible for our own lives and in our world today.  This study series will be on Sunday evenings, March 10-April 7, 5:00-7:00 pm (except for March 24 after Choral Evensong at approximately 6:15) in the Meeting Room.  A light supper of soup and bread will be served.  The class topics are:

    1. What is the Bible?
    2. What is in the Bible?
    3. Who wrote the Bible? (Authorship and canonical process)
    4. How do we understand the Bible? (history of interpretation)
    5. Why is the Bible “the book for me?”
