Education for Ministry (EFM) is a structured ecumenical education program for those who wish to deepen their faith and understanding of the scriptures and teachings of the Church. The four year distance learning program covers the Old Testament, New Testament, church history, and Christian theology.

Offered by the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, this program provides an accessible, comprehensive theological education to lay people. Together, EFM students examine and experience their daily lives as ministry through spiritual autobiography and theological reflection. Through discussion of texts and personal experience, group members deepen their understanding of baptism, ministry and mission.
