Links to resources on the Episcopal Church, Liturgy, Community, Formation and Mission

The Episcopal Church -- The website of the Episcopal Church of the USA.  There are many resources here about our denomination: how we are governed, how we engage in mission globally, and what is unique about our way of embodying Christian life and practice.

Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts -- The Diocese of Massachusetts includes the 190 Episcopal churches in the eastern half of the state of Massachusetts.  You'll find lots of resources here describing the church's work throughout the diocese.

The Anglican Communion -- The Episcopal Church of the USA is a Province (member) of the worldwide Anglican Communion -- churches which, for the most part, trace their origins to the English Reformation of the 16th century.  You'll find lots of information about our fellow Anglicans all of the world on this site.

The Bible – New Revised Standard Version -- This site contains the entire Bible in both testaments.  The NRSV is the translation that we use in our services at Christ Church.

The Book of Common Prayer -- The Book of Common Prayer is our book of worship.  Our services are drawn from the BCP as well as various supplemental resources.

The Lectionary Page -- This site will allow you to see the readings that are designated for specific dates and occasions.  It is a very useful tool for Bible study groups, lectors, or anyone who wishes to read or study the Bible based on our lectionary cycle.  This website has both the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) lectionary and the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL), which we use at Christ Church, and which is now used by most Episcopal Churches and many churches of other denominations.

The Daily Office -- This site give easy access to Morning and Evening Prayer based on the Book of Common Prayer and the Daily Lectionary.  It is a handy reference for those who wish to establish the practice of daily liturgical prayer.

Episcopal Relief and Development -- This is the primary agency for relief and development work in the Episcopal Church.  Through ERD we help to fund disaster relief in the US and around the world and development projects administered through our partners in the Anglican Communion throughout the world.

Glossary of Episcopal Terms -- We often have our own unique words for things in the Episcopal Church!  This site will help dispel the mystery.

Episcopal Life Online -- This is a major communications resource for the Episcopal Church of the USA.

Episcopal Cafe – This site is an independent web site featuring news, commentary, art, meditations and video on issues affecting the Episcopal Church and its people.

Forward Day by Day - This is a spiritual resource for daily reflection and prayer used by many people at Christ Church.

Education For Ministry -- EFM is a four year program of theological study for those who wish to grow in their understanding of the Christian life and faith. Find out more about EFM at Christ Church here.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd -- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a method of spiritual formation for children based on Montessori principles, which we use at Christ Church, and which takes seriously the innate religious imagination of children.

The Christian Century -- A weekly magazine of thoughtful reflection and exploration of theology and culture.

Christ Church Andover on Facebook -- This is a way to stay connected to fellow parishioners and friends of Christ Church.
