Youth and Adult Mission Trips

Christ Church regularly organizes mission trips for both youth and adults.

Youth mission trips are normally domestic trips that typically occur every other summer on a non-J2A pilgrimage year.  These week-long mission experiences aim to help our young people to immerse themselves in service that helps to illuminate the many issues of rural or urban poverty.  Past youth mission trips have gone to Appalachia in western Virginia, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

Adult mission trips at Christ Church have been both foreign and domestic but have also focused on sending parishioners into areas of great need.  An adult group from the parish has, most recently, traveled to Haiti in January 2014 to help in their post-earthquake recovery efforts.  Clarkson Williams organized this trip with assistance from his mother, who lives and works in the village of Cange, the local Episcopal priest, Father LaFontante, and members of the Partners in Health community in Cange.  Prior to that trip, a parish group traveled down to the Gulf Coast to help in the re-building efforts after Hurricane Katrina.  If you would like to learn more about our adult mission trips, please contact Michael Marcinelli.
