Music at Christ Church

Christ Church has a rich tradition of excellent music, enhancing the experience of worship for all who are here. Our diverse program offers abundant opportunities to exercise their talent for those who are musically inclined. There are five choirs for singers and bell ringers as well as opportunities for instrumentalists to play during our worship services.  Monthly Evensong, Taize, or Lessons and Carols services are held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons, and three special music concerts are planned for 2011-12.  For a complete list of all our music offerings for 2011-2012, please click here.

For further information or to become involved in the Music Ministry at Christ Church, please contact Barbara Bruns, Minister of Music at 978-475-0529, Ext. 14.

Evening Services

Taize Service
Brother Roger Shutz (1915-2005) founded a monastic community in Taize, France during World War II providing shelter for Jews fleeing persecution and welcoming refugees from all over Europe after the war. For over 50 years the community has drawn thousands of pilgrims from different countries and various faith backgrounds who are transformed by the beautiful worship, deep spirituality, and commitment to global reconciliation and justice. A Taize service alternates readings with periods of silence and meditative chants, sung repetitively in prayer.
Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2011
