Pastoral Ministries

Pastoral care is a vitally important ministry at Christ Church and one that is shared by all the people of the parish.  Whether it is through prayer, intentional companionship, or even through the gift of a warm shawl knit by our Knitting Ministry, we believe that caring for one another, and those beyond our walls, should always be a natural extension of all that we say and do on Sunday morning.  We invite you to learn more about these ministries of our parish and, if you feel so moved, to join us in helping to heal wounds and open hearts in Christ’s name.

Our Lay Pastoral Care Team is a group of parishioners who are trained to go and regularly visit the homebound, the sick, or those who are in need of comfort. Read More
The Knitting Ministry is a small group of women who, before the pandemic, had been meeting weekly since 2001 to knit prayer shawls for the sick and homebound and also hats and mittens for the needy. Some are still knitting at home, and invite any knitters in the parish to join this ministry! Read More
The intercessory prayer team is a trained group of parishioners who offer one-on-one, hands-on intercessory prayer and healing during the service. Read More
